Bi-monthly meeting: Ms. Selina Akter, Member of Aminbazar Union under Savar Upazila said that election preparations have started in every union of Bangladesh. We hope that the election of different Union Parishads of Savar Upazila will be held in the fourth phase. The election schedule of other unions including Birulia Union Parishad will be announced on November 11, 2021. Those of us who will participate in the election will conduct our election campaign. In addition to this, if we can go to the village and tell the general public about the issues of legal aid, then they will know about the issues of legal aid and get services.
Courtyard meeting: Ms. Afia Akter (working woman) word no -4, Aminbazar under Savar said that before my father died, he divided his property verbally between his two sons and one daughter, so that after his death there would be no dispute between divided over his property. After my father died, my two brothers took all the property and threatened to kill me if I went to ask for a share of the property. When I complained to the chairman of the local union council, the chairman called our two brothers in his union council to address the matter, but they did not listen to the chairman. Then Mr. Chairman advised me to take legal action, I am a very poor woman. My sick husband cannot earn any income. I have to earn various incomes to run the family. At this meeting we learned about legal aid and how to get legal aid, we will benefit a lot if we get Legal Aid help from the District Legal Aid Office Dhaka.
